Unique Ways to Use Your Holiday Leftovers

The holidays are a time for giving, receiving, and indulging. If your hosting, we’re sure you are going to have to have plenty of leftovers from the day. You’re probably used to making the same old things like that precious Thanksgiving leftover sandwich. But, we’ve got a few suggestions of other things for you to try:

Pizza – Purchase a pre-made a pizza crust, or toss the dough yourself if you are feeling up to it, and toss your favorites from the holiday meal right on there. You can put just about anything you want on a pizza, so why not put your holiday dinner?

Salad – You can easily make ham salad, turkey salad, chicken salad with a little mustard and mayonnaise. Or, even add your favorite leftovers on top of some lettuce, spinach, or kale and create a salad all your own.

Soup – Rather than throw out your broth, save it and add your leftover meat and veggies for a delicious soup. Already tossed the broth? Purchase some chicken broth at the store and let it simmer with your leftovers, fresh parsley, and garlic cloves until it is warm.

Shepherd’s Pie – Get a pre-made pie crust and layer your vegetables first, finely chopped meat, and then your mashed potatoes. Add some breadcrumbs and cheese or roll on the rest of the pie crust.

Omelets – Half the work is already done for you. All you need to do it throw in your holiday favorites and finish cooking the eggs.

Share – Continue the holiday spirit and make dishes for your friends, family, and neighbors will all of your extra leftovers!
