Choosing the perfect entrees for your event may seem daunting when considering all your options. From grilled salmon to beef short ribs, we ourselves have a dozen plus entree options on our menu. On that note, we’ve constructed a list of three things to consider to put you on the right track to having the perfect entree/s for your unique event.
Hands down one of the most important things to consider when choosing an entree is any dietary restrictions that you or your guests may have. Whether this be an allergy or accommodating guests who follow a vegan diet, you’ll want to let your caterer know so that we can accommodate this need. If this is the case, consider having multiple entrees with one that fits these needs. If one of your guests has a severe allergy (say someone has Celiac disease), we can individually prepare this plate to ensure no cross contamination occurs.
One thing we ask clients to consider when forming their menu is, “What does a balanced meal look like to you?” Some things to consider: Are you hitting your targeted food groups? Do the flavors work well together? Are you including your desired tastes? Before making your final decision for an entree/s, look at the big picture of the full menu to ensure that you’re including all your wants and needs.
Each season of the year comes with its fair share of food trends. When brainstorming choices for your entrees, it’s always fun to consider what flavors are trending for that season. For example, if you’re having a spring or summer event, we’d recommend going with bright, fruity flavors such as our lemon and thyme roasted chicken thighs or southwestern stuffed pepper. In the fall and winter, you could opt for more of a cozy, warm meal such as jambalaya.
We hope that these tips will help you when planning for your next event. We’d love to assist you with all your catering needs and personally guide you through the process of curating your perfect, customized menu. Reach out to us through our Contact page or at info@figsandhoneycatering.com.
